I got started on my Hidcote Shawl tonight. I’m using stash yarn - KnitPicks Shadow in the Lost Lake colorway (green). This was my first try at a provisional cast on and I had to frog a few times, but I did finally get it done. This is a picture after the first chart.

Here’s some pencil roving I got today. It is from Crown Mountain Farms. 8 oz Corriedale handpainted, Tourmaline is the colorway. I’m going to start spinning it tonight on my Bosworth maxi spindle. I was going to wait for my wheel to get here, but that’ll take some practice and this is so pretty, I’ll go ahead and use the spindle. I have lots of other fiber to practice with when my Sonata arrives (hopefully Saturday!).
