Sachets for Mother’s Day
Posted on | May 12, 2007 |
These are the sachets I made for my mother and my MIL for Mother’s Day (acutally they each will receive 4 sachets, this is just a pic of two of them). The pattern is my own and the yarn is a wool/silk/angelina blend I spun from this batt. I found some great smelling pearls and filled the sachets with those, one set is Rose Petal and the other is Plumeria. Hope the moms like them!

Thanks for the idea with the pearls. I always thought of potpourri in there, which would come through it eventually, but smelly pearls make the whole idea a whole lot more appealing. How about a lacy pattern?

I can’t see any mum NOT loving such wonderful gifts. I’m going to try knitting some little sachets like these from odd ends of yarn to gift - I’m on the lookout for beads or something to put in them. Yours are really gorgeous

Lovely sachets!! I’m making some bath & spa sets for xmas, but out of cotton, so they don’t look quite as soft, but I haven’t added the final touches of ribbon and such yet. Those look lovely!
