Picture-less posting

I’m back from a fun-filled long weekend in Oklahoma City. We had a terrific time! Lots of fun shopping and great restaurants were visited. We even took time out of the shopping to get pedicures so now we have pretty feet. LOL I did stop by the LYS. It was nice, but had a limited selection of lace yarn which was what I was most interested in. Since I’m spinning a lot now I actually don’t need a lot of yarn. I did get a couple pairs of Bryspun straight needles to round out my collection. I really like their straights. And I broke down and bought some Addi Lace needles. I just got one pair, US3 in the 34″ length. I’ve moved my lace project over to these and have knitted a few rows with them. So far I like them very much! The joins are fantastically smooth, the tips are pointy and the yarn doesn’t slip near as much as it does on regular metal needles. I may have to have a couple more pairs of these babys. I also got a new lace book, Traditional Knitted Lace Shawls. I haven’t sat down with it much yet, but it looks great. I’m interested in writing/knitting some of my own patterns for lace shawls and stoles so this is going to be a great help. I snagged a new knitting bag that I just love. It’s quilted and has six pockets on the inside and two on the outside. Perfect! Unfortunately no pictures of the trip as I left the camera at home! Geez, my old-timer’s was acting up. At least I didn’t forget to pack clean underwear. LOL So the trip was a success and now it’s back to working and knitting at home.
