I’ve been looking and looking and researching drum carders lately because of course the next step in my spinning addiction is to prepare the fibers myself. I really like my DIY hackle, but I also have been wanting a carder. I learned to use one in the spinning class I took a few months ago. Anyway…I finally decided on which carder I wanted and was telling DH all about it and my plan to save up for it. He said, “Just order it now.” In response to my raised eyebrows he said I could get it for my birthday present (b’day is in August)! So, I ordered one! LOL Here’s a picture of the Strauch petite drum carder which will be coming my way. The shipping was free, but it’ll be slow, UPS ground - not priority. So I’ll try to be patient in the meantime. The picture is just a stock photo of the carder. RL pictures to follow once the new baby arrives. I can’t wait!
