Big Foot/Little Foot

I’ve been doing just a bit of charity sock knitting and thought these two pairs looked cute together. A nice contrast in sizes.

I’ve also had Spike working a bit too. This is 4.5oz of BFL roving which I purchased from John Pitblado during my workshop at the Taos Wool Festival. The roving was quite compacted so a run through the carder was just the ticket to get it fluffed up and ready to be spun into a nice bulky single. I just love this color!

And believe it or not I’m planning on getting out the sewing machine! If you’ve read my blog for very long you will have noticed that there has been NO mention of sewing. I learned to sew when I was 10 years old at the insistence of my mother. I hated it then and still don’t like it much. I did sew for my children on occasion when they were small, but nothing lately. I’ve never enjoyed it much at all. BUT that said, I’ve been wanting some needle cases and I want them arranged in specific ways for different sets of needles. I’ve looked on the internet, but I’m just enough of a cheap skate that I don’t want to pay upwards of $40-50.00 for a needle case! So, I made a trip to the fabric store and found some fat quarters. I’ve got the first one laid out and just about ready to sew. I’m still thinking about the layout and how I want to put it together. If this works out the next one will be for my KnitPicks Options needles.
