Roses and Birds
Posted on | December 21, 2007 |
This week has been busy, but I did manage to complete a couple of things.
The first Bird in Hand mitten is completed. I took it over to my friend’s house for a try on session. It fit perfectly and she has declared herself in love with it. Yahoo!! She is not a knitter, but she appreciates hand knit items. Her DH even liked it. So now to cast on for mitten #2.
I had 4 oz of this Merino roving and I ended up with 496 yards of 2 ply yarn, 18 WPI. This is lovely and soft yarn, really squishy too. I’m going to try my hand at designing a lace scarf or stole and this will be the yarn I use.
