Merry Christmas!
Posted on | December 24, 2007 |
I’d like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope that you and your families have plenty of love and happiness in the coming year.
Here are some finished projects. Knitting is suspended for the remainder of the day here at chez WhimsyKnits. The family will be descending on our quiet household in a few hours for fellowship, food and presents! We are fortunate to have 4 out of 5 grandchildren near enough to us to come for the holidays - what a blessing. I have 1 of my children who will be here (the other two live far away unfortunately). My step-son and his wife will also be with us as well as my parents. A full house indeed!
Here are some finished projects.
Here’s the scarf from my Funky Neon Yarn. As the yarn was funky/bumpy I just cast on 6 sts and knit the whole scarf in garter stitch. I’m loving the way it looks!
CRW’s Christmas stocking. This is, gasp!, crocheted! LOL I like the way it came out and I added the extra single crochet rows at the top so there would be space for his name. Now that I have this as I like it, there will need to be 5 more made for next Christmas. At least I have a while to get them all done. The Pattern is called O Christmas Tree and is available from ePatterns Central.
Just a pair of charity socks for the CIC group. This pattern is from the Cottage Creations booklet entitled “Knitting for the Community.” A simple and easy pattern that should fit a variety of foot sizes.
