Just a couple of completed objects.
Aran Watch Cap by Charlene Schurch, pattern in the book Hats On!. Knitted with Paton’s Merino. XL size and took about 1.25 skeins. This is for DH whose other black cap is too small and looks silly! This is a great fit and he has pronounced it “perfect.” Yeah!
Fiber: Desert Sunset, 20% mohair, 20% alpaca, 30% merino, 30% Romney
Fiber source: eBay - Jehovah Jireh Farms
Yarn: 289 yards, 8 WPI, 2 ply - it’s a bit thick and thin, I was practicing my long-draw technique
Completed 3/23/08

I’m impressed by the cap. I have some black alpaca handspun to make a cap for my son the sheriff’s deputy, but I hadn’t thought of doing a pattern. Great job.
That desert sunrise is BEAUTIFUL! I love that it’s a mix of so many different fibers…just stunning. Where on ebay did you find it?
