Project Updates!

This is my new case for my KnitPicks Options needles. I have the big binder that comes with the needles, but I never really liked it. I found this case on Etsy and it’s perfect! You even get to pick out the fabric you’d like to have. zknitter is the Esty seller I purchased the case from. She was a perfect seller.

Here’s a FO. This is the Fana Hat from Charlene Schurch’s book, Hats On!. I’m still enjoying the stranded knitting! This was pretty easy and worked up fast. I made the medium size which is just a tad short for me, so would be good for an older child. I especially like the crown decreases. Knitted with Paton’s Classic Merino yarn, US#6 needles.

The weaving on the towels continues also. On a previous post I explained how to thread two heddles on the RH loom. Well, I *thought* I had it right but something must have been wrong because I could not get a clear shed. I checked and rechecked, but couldn’t get it to work. I removed the 2nd heddle and re-threaded the 1st to have two ends through each hole and slot. This kept the correct number of ends and 20 EPI as the pattern called for. I’m weaving 2 picks through each shed and this is a basketweave pattern. I think it looks just great. Whew! this weaving is making my head hurt!! I’ve just gotten started on the first towel, the warp is long enough for four towels.

  1. Awesome job on the hat and the weaving. You rock!

  2. I love the hat! I’ve only been knitting for a couple of years and working on my first cable sweater right now. I haven’t tried fair isle yet, but will probably try that this year too. :)

The weaving is beautiful!!!! Although I am completely lost on the weaving language. :D

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Beautiful hat! And thanks for the L&V link. I was SO thrilled to see my hat on their site!
