A new kind of weaving…

well, it’s new to me! Following the fiber addiction where it leads now has me investigating tablet weaving. DH saw some tablet weaving looms on the internet and volunteered to build one for me. This is the prototype - and there will probably be a few changes made, but first I have to learn to do the weaving itself.
I used 5/2 perl cotton for my first try and I really like the way the band is looking. My cards are recycled dividers from work, they were going to be thrown away so I just appropriated them and made the cards. Here is the loom and my first weaving (still needs some tweaking, but pretty easy to just pick up).
