Field of Flowers

Posted on | May 31, 2008 |

My newest handspun yarn has been named Field of Flowers to celebrate the end of winter. All the lovely colors reminded me of a mountain valley covered in spring wildflowers.

The fiber is an 80/20 blend of alpaca and viscose, handdyed by Bob at Winderwood Farms. I spun this on my Kromski Sonata wheel. The yarn is 4.2 oz, 476 yards, 20 WPI. It’s so soft and light, almost feels like air in your hands. I’ll be putting it up in my Etsy shop this weekend.
