STR Club and Fisherman Socks
Posted on | May 23, 2006 |
Well, I just couldn’t resist and when the STR Sock Club opened last week for new members I jumped in with both feet! My first package arrived yesterday. It’s the most gorgeous yarn! The colorway is called Fairgrounds and it’s fantastic. I totally love the pattern that came too. It’s a short sock with the cuff worked separately with picked up stitches to then work the foot portion. I can’t wait to get started.
Pictures to come. Oh and info/links if anyone is interested — STR is Socks that Rock and the website is BlueMoon Fiber Arts
On the Fisherman Socks front (the current knit-along for Sockamaniacs Sock-A-Long) I’m doing well. I am on the third and last repeat of the pattern on the leg portion, just 10 more rows and I’ll be at the heel! I’m still quite happy with how they are turning out! I got a new cable needle on my trip, it’s a Brittany needle, and I really like it because it’s short. The one I had was too long. I’ve never used wooden needles before and this feels kinda strange, but good too. I will try to take some pictures of everything tonight and get them posted.
