Monkey Farts and a handspun scarf

Posted on | September 29, 2008 |

I finally overcame my fear of spinning the monkey farts batts I had in my stash. I am a control freak and the slubs of silk noils in the batts were eating my lunch. After much encouragement from my ravelry friends, I jumped in and got the job done. The end result is a tweedy, slightly thick and thin 2 ply yarn. I love it! 12 WPI, 180 yards.

Here’s a lovely scarf designed by Susan Lawrence, the name is On the Vine. This was knit with my Smoke on the Water handspun and given as part of the Spunky Swap 9/08. I used beads instead of nupps. A lovely pattern!

Two wonderful projects as usual! I’m going to get beading help from you sometime.
