Celebrate!

Posted on | December 14, 2008 |

I think I’ve finally caught the weaving bug! I warped the Harp, wove this, washed and blocked it all today! And it’s already dry too. Instant gratification, I like that. Just a plain weave scarf, 6″ wide and 66″ long. I used a 10 dent heddle and 64 total ends. Warp yarn is Knit Picks Palette and weft is my Celebration handspun (Navajo plyed, Shetland wool, dyed by Spunky Eclectic). The handspun was one of my first skeins and was terribly overspun - really impossible to knit with. It has turned into a perfect weaving yarn though. The scarf has a very nice drape.
