‘Nother Scarf
Posted on | December 26, 2008 |
Yes, the rigid heddle loom has been calling my name again. Here is another scarf fresh off the loom. Warped with KnitPicks Palette in brown. Weft yarn is my handspun polwarth, New Zealand Gent. I used an 8 dent heddle and 64 total ends with tabby weave. The right hand edges look pretty good, but the left edges are wonky! I’ll have to put a single crochet border along the sides to hide the waves. hehe

Very pretty! Or handsome, since it’s a gent. Combining crafts is always a good idea. Back in the old, old days, I startled my home economics teacher by crocheting thread belt loops for a dress I had sewn in class instead of making those tedious ones by buttonhole stitching over a thread loop. Chains and single crochet can solve a multitude of problems.
