Einstein Coat

Well I’ve finally taken the plunge and started my first adult sized clothing project! I’m going to be knitting the Einstein Coat. This gorgeous pattern can be found in The Knit Stitch, Vol 1 by Sally Melville. I’m using my new KnitPicks Options needles of course. I will be knitting this up in a pretty teal color of Jiffy yarn. I kinda wanted to use a more luscious yarn, but the pattern calls for 1500 yards of yarn. With this being my first big project, I thought I’d go for a less expensive investment and see how it comes out. Wish me luck. Here’s a picture of the coat:

  1. I love this coat!! When I first saw it in the book I wanted to make it, but I want a hood too. Maybe next year if I can get a designing cap to fit my head!!

  2. I worked at a yarn shop last summer and LOTS of the women knit this coat (it was part of a class) and everyone loved the pattern - I think it’ll turn out great!
