Waffles

New loom project is up and running. I’m doing some waffle weave dishtowels this time around. 8/2 cotton, natural for the warp and different colors for the weft. The pattern is from “A Weaver’s Book of 8 Shaft Patterns,” page 141, #511. It uses 7 harnesses and 7 treadles. And let me just say that when you have 5 harnesses on one treadle it gets a bit heavy. So far, so good and I’m enjoying the pattern.
I’ve had a few people ask me how I like the Schacht End-Delivery shuttle pictured above. I LOVE IT! This has made a huge difference in my selvedges. It’s very easy to use and is just about my favorite weaving tool right now.

Beautiful! I have made friends with the end feed shuttle, too, but it took some getting used to !

I love this pattern! I can’t wait to see it washed so I can see how the waffles develop. Really good job!
