Magic Waffles

The Waffle Weave towels are finished. Wow, it’s like magic seeing how they look/feel going into the washing machine and then comparing to how they look/feel coming out of the dryer!! These are soooo smooshy and squishy! I haven’t tried moping up water yet but I bet they will do a great job. They shrank more in length than width and are dangerously close to being square, but I still love ‘em. I’ll plan the size a bit differently next time. I machine hemmed before washing. The hem is just the pattern, I did not do any plain weave for the hems. They flare a tiny bit but not enough to be upset about at all.
Info: Pattern is from “A Weaver’s Book of 8 Shaft Patterns” page 141, #511

Those are great! I’m still plodding away at my shawl, but I’m learning and getting faster. You are producing really professional looking work.

Love ‘em! Amazing how much draw-in this pattern has when washed… though it makes sense. Good to know - when I get around to weaving waffles, I’ll know to add to the length.
