Long Draw and Drum Carders

Posted on Sunday, April 29th, 2007 at 10:16 pm

I’m back from Albuquerque and my spinning class. It was fantastic! Great teacher and the other students were very nice and lots of fun. I learned lots of new stuff and found out that my self taught spinning habits were…right!
As you may know, there are no local shops where I […]

A Spinning We Will Go

Posted on Thursday, April 26th, 2007 at 10:27 am

Well, at long last it’s time for the spinning class I signed up for back in January. Yippee! DH and I will be leaving for Albuquerque, NM tomorrow around noon. It’s a 4 hour drive from here so as things go when you live in the middle of nowhere, not too far […]

I knitted a swatch and was spot on. I used the XL pattern because the measurements were appropriate for my no longer […]

Candyribbons and ISE4 update

Posted on Friday, April 13th, 2007 at 11:02 pm

I’ve named my new yarn Candyribbons. It reminds me of that hard candy you see at Christmas time which is curled like ribbons. It’s Merino and Soy Silk. I started with 2 oz and the final yarn is 250 yards and 18WPI. Lovely colors.
